No, it's quite true.

Before I was converted, the Bible was extremely boring to me. I had been force to read quite a bit of it. It seemed like a buch of stories about men running around with towels on their heads!

After I was converted it was a completely new book. Almost everything in it spoke to me - both revealing the sin in my heart, showing me the right way to live and encouraging me about God's love for me.

It became, quite literally, alive to me - unlike any other book I have ever read.

This happened essentially overnight. It was totally unexpected and really blew me away.

This experience has continued now for nearly 20 years.

I was Christian for 30 years too. The NT was alive for awhile until I caught a glimpse of its history.
