We have a whole country of so-called adults who do not know how to reason coherently. No need to let that sentence run on any longer than that.

In another face-off, a man identifying himself as a Catholic graduate of Regis University questioned why "a bunch of celibate men are telling us what to do about sex."This man needs to seek a refund of the tuition paid to his alma mater. He seems to have been given a degree without acquiring the minimal level of knowledge associated with a college degree.

I watched an EWTN broadcast by Fr. Ruttler of NYC and his discourse was about the difference between schisms and troubles within the church of the 18th century and today. Franky, do you recall which program this was? Possibly we can track down an audio link. Missed the program and would love to hear what he had to say.

But I would like to ask this individual whether he thinks Jesus Christ, a celibate man, is qualified to tell him what to do about sex. If he says no, he is not a Christian, never mind a Catholic. If he says yes, I'd like to ask him then whether he believes Archbishop Chaput is the Vicar of Christ, his anointed representive, in the Denver Archdiocese. If he says, "No", he's not a Catholic. If he says, "Yes", then ... did his question even have a point?/i> Excellent analogy! Love it!

Well, St. Ignatius got a lot of lip from Christians even as he made his way to Rome to be thrown to the beasts. I think it great that we have a bishop who has the guts to fight.

Heck, his grammer school should give him back his money. Aldous Huxley wrote a charming story about the religious discussions he had with a 12-13 year old fisher boy, and with no more than knowledge of his catechism, the boy astonished Huxley--or his character--with the profundity of his answers. If only the graduates of Regis knew as much about their faith.
