But CNN was on when I took my nap and I dream about stuff that is on tv when I sleep. My son watches Christian broadcasting when I take my morning shift nap and I have really peaceful dreams.
Regarding Elton John in the dream I am sure that IPOD ad with him must have been on. Maybe I should reclassify him in my dream as a nightmare. : )

Immediately, as Paul says, "Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." When the physical body of the believer passes into death, the soul, like a banana peeling it's skin, immediately enters into the Presence of God.

Exactly, your dream was influenced by your surroundings. It's called---"suggestion". Nothing mystical there as with the dreams purported on this thread to be "prophetic", so too have they been influenced by things like the Art Bell show and other common conspiracy theories that float around the net.
Clearly the IPod wasn't playing anything from Tumbelweed Connection, that was a pretty good album. :-)
