Yup! Fr. Pavone is one of my favorites on EWTN. But, as a Catholic I am amazed that it would be necessary to form a new order of priests to defend life. It's a scandal that this is necessary. It should be redundant.
This action is long overdue. Under Cardinal O'Connor, Fr. Pavone was pretty much allowed to dedicate his time to the PLM. But Cardinal Egan, for whatever reason, tried to stifle him and the PFL ministry. He transferred him to a parish, so that Pavone's time would be taken up with parish activities. Also, the priests Pavone has had to work with are primarily retired. Now, he'll be able to get some young blood in to help him.
