I know this probably isn't what people would like to hear, but I think that the new pope should be from Europe.
Europe is the home base of Christianisty and the base has eroded badly through secularism, economic properity and an arrogance that is based on "me" and "my rights."

Having a Polish pope was the best thing that has happened to Poland and Europe (religiously speaking) since the Reformation. Another European pope would be good for our Catholic and Christian base.
The southern hemisphere can wait its turn, in another 100 years.

Just a thought or two.

We all have our thoughts on who should be named pope. Ultimately, this man is chosen by the Holy Spirit. Please remember all of these Cardinals as they prepare to select the next leader of the Church. It is an awesome responsibility and one that each and every one of them will be considering as they begin the daunting task of selection.
