Satan was already there w/Job and his sons. Do you not think God knew what he was up to?

It seems Job was only one of the "sons of God" assembled, and Satan was hanging out among them. Clearly God directed Satan's attention toward Job; God knew exactly what would come of it.

Not necessarily - Satan was there already among Job. Satan knew about the hedge. Satan attention was already on Job. When God asks a question - he already knows the answer.
