Tom you REALLY have a wonderful way with words!
I was looking through this thread and you see how many folks posted pics of paintings. What does that say to you?

That article is yet another horrific example of how they try to link the power of Christ to Mary as though the work of Christ as insufficient. This is the kernel of your error.
CHRIST linked the power of CHRIST to Mary, when he became incarnate through her, and chose, in obedience to the Father, to redeem us through his Incarnation.
That's really right at the heart of the Gospel. In fact, St. John calls those who deny Christ come in the flesh -- and Christ came in the flesh through Mary, remember -- he calls them antiChrist.
That doesn't "make the work of Christ insufficient". That IS the work of Christ.
Before you call something "demonic", stop to remember that "demonic" is exactly what the Pharisees called Jesus.

Since the Angelic Salutation ("Hail Mary") is taken almost verbatim from the Bible, I think I know who's taking fright at shadows here . . .
And the Nicene Creed is said at every Mass, which is more than one can say about some other denominations . . . (BTW, it also mentions Mary . . . < boo! scared ya! > )

In both cases, you have a self-aware spiritual entity putting on a mask in order to hijack devotional energies that properly should be directed to God. By that logic, my wife is demonic. After all, I give her "devotional energies" (far more, truth be told, than I give to the Blessed Virgin) every day. She's also a "self-aware spiritual entity".
God is not a miser, and is the very antithesis of selfishness. What is given to God's friends is not taken away from him. The devil would like you to believe otherwise, because if he can persuade you that God is selfish, you will become like the one you worship.

I was looking through this thread and you see how many folks posted pics of paintings. What does that say to you? I'm responsible for most if not all of that. It says to me that I like art . . . you'll always find me on the art threads, esp. republicanprofessor's art classes.
What on earth does it say to you? < adjusting tin foil demonic shield >

NO; Christ came in the flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit. It just happened to be through Mary. Certainly, Honor Mary, but no more nor less than Peter. Peter who never once mentions her. Paul, who never prayed to any other than God. Moses. Non of these should be elevated above any other.
Except the pope of course, who speaks with out error.

These words seem unbelievable to me. She carried the Christ child. How could anything demonic be connected with that?

They lift the name of Mary up to the very same pinnacle where only God's name belongs. No, we imitate Our Lord, and since we are not perfect like He is, we could never honor the Blessed Mother as much or as perfectly as He honors His mother, even though we try.
Ask Our Lord to give you His heart with which to love His mother. Just a suggestion.

**Mary Worship.**
You are mistaken.
We do not worship Mary. We only worship the Triune God.
We venerate Mary. I am sure that others have given you more details. Please educate yourself!
