What's with this 'Gay' and 'Priesthood'?
What attracts homos to this job?
I am perplexed.
A secure career with a decent income and probably expense accounts, privacy to engage in homosexual acts, and parents not asking why they don't 'find a good Catholic girl'; not to mention access to boys.
The company of other men?
(1) No need ever to explain to your devout parents why you're not married.
(2) Priests are given a large amount of personal autonomy and a free house, perhaps also a free car. Nowadays they generally live alone and they make their own hours 6 days a week. A person can up to all sorts of trouble if he is somewhat discreet.
(3) Because of the autonomy, they can be extremely lazy. Being a Catholic priest is the most demanding and time-intensive job in the world if one is a very good and conscientious priest. But if one wants to foist off all administrative responsibilities to secretaries and lay volunteers, one can get by with only 3-4 hours of work a week.
(4) being a priest still commands a certain amount of prestige and respect. One's ego can be stroked as a local community leader without accomplishing anything.
Apparently it's a paycheck for some.
He also noted that his theological formation, which he said he received in Rome, "has never been of the slightest use to me".
They were allowed into seminaries in the '60's after the Church "modernized" its admissions policies to better fit the progressive agenda of denying the existence of sin.
After they reached a tipping point, they controlled the seminaries and drove away many normal men. Many bishops were enablers. Why are they attracted to the profession? The same reason they are attracted to the teaching profession and the ministries of mainstream Protestant religions..the same reason they desperately want scoutmaster positions..access to young boys.
Remember the song "Where the boys are?"
"What attracts homos to this job?"
Evil always attacks good. That is its nature.
What attracts them is 1. It's a place to further their agenda, that place being the Church, the Bible, and Christianity as a whole. TO try to force the acceptance at the ultimate opposition.
2. Their is close contact with lots of men, and boys.
There are a few, who have left the lifestyle and found the Lord, however they are no longer homosexual.
