Judas was absolutely necessary to the story of Jesus. Without his betrayal, known in advance, according to the story, by Jesus, the arrest and ensuing events would not have occurred.

The judgment of Jesus Christ by Pontious Pilate is irrelevant in the history of mankind. The judgment of the Father was eternally ordained. The death of Christ on the Cross is purely the plan of God. Those who seek to interpret the Crucifixion as anything manmade merely look at the world with a soulish perspective and lack the spirit to comprehend its significance. All the surrounding chaos, simply acts as an eternal memorial to the incompetance of evil in the face of Divine Holiness, Righteousness and Judgment.
