I find this article very interesting. I wonder if the writer is aware that historically Armenia was the first country to officially embrace Christianity. To be sure, much of it is cultural now and not spiritual. But the door to the Gospel opened then (about 300 AD. I don't have the date memorized but before Constantine) and the established liturgy of the Orthodox church hasn't changed since.

I didn't find that to be true while in Georgia.
