Editors Note: Bono was recently named one of Time magazine's "Persons of the Year" for his humanitarian work and international efforts.

Anybody who takes pop stars seriously is a twit.
Sadly, this means there are hundreds of millions of twits out there who are allowed to vote.

You'd get a lot of argument about that 'greatest band of all time' nonsense.
Led Zeppelin, Beatles, there's a number of more worthy choices in my opinion.

The reality is that Bono held too high a place in my heart. And I dont think Im alone there. I think many people fall into this trap. It's easy to get caught up with "Christian" celebrities.

Bono claims to be a Christian? I thought he was just a misguided humanist.

And if youve never been to a U2 show, let me tell you that it was everything youd ever expect it to be.True to the November 2001 St Louis show, NOT true to the September 2005 Milwaukee show, when they totally phoned it in. I love U2 and when their show is "on" there's an energy that is just amazing, but when Bono gets preachy you can count me out. I wonder what Bono thinks about the Great Commission?

Not much opposition for saying U2 is the greatest rock band of all time??? The only thing they have ever done that was "great" was maybe Joshua Tree.
I wonder what the Vegas odds are on Bono turning out to be the Anti-Christ?? I still got a 20 on Prince Charles but Bono looks like he may beat the spread.

"Was Bono, my supposed brother in Christ, preaching some kind of universalism?"
Duh!
Now maybe Christianity Today might figure it out!
