I can truly say that the Light of Christ was present in Pope Benedict's face when he appeared on the balcony. EWTN showed an interview that Cardinal Ratzinger had given before John Paul II's death, and I found him to be a thoughtful, gentle man.

I made my decision to investigate joining that day.

Well, we had a beautiful Vigil. I can't really express how I feel, but I am very happy. I will post some more tomorrow after some reflection.

There was only one outside choir to sing at a Vigil Mass for John Paul, and that was the choir from my church. I am honored to be a member of that choir now, and I sang my first Triduum with them, ending today.

We're going to Eastern Europe next year.
