You are correct.
Committed Catholics who believe what Jesus Christ taught, do not have sex outside of marriage.
Sorry you had a real loser for a husband. - He apparently wasn't a committed, practicing Catholic either.
Birth control, judiciously used, gives women the freedom to be able to fully enjoy their partner without the fear of getting pregnant. Without birth control such as condoms, I would probably never have sex. LOL!
"most of the abuse cases were comitted by ephebophiles (men attracted to teenage boys)."
That may be true, but it's also possible that female victims and pre-pub children's cases are underreported. Teen boys tend to put up a fight when they feel violated.

The methods used with these teen boys wasn't so much violation as it was seduction. Ply them with alcohol and porn and then introduce something that feels good.
It's the old Michael Jackson routine - only with older victims.
Most of these teens didn't put up a fight so much as they held it in for years and reported it much later.
The overwhelming majority of cases reported was of this type, and it is also possible these cases were underreported as well.
Again - the problem seems to lie more with homosexual ephebophilia than pedophilia, although some of the more disturbing stories reported (Fr. Geoghan) were true pedophiles.
And MJ as well as other predators used "straight" porn, didn't they? Another reason against exposing boys to this type of explicit material.

I have no way of knowing how much porn was "straight" or "gay".
I do know some men who were abused that were shown straight porn (like MJ)
To me - porn is porn. It's all bad.
