Of course, there was bitterness, sometimes from harsh or insulting statements heard from abroad aimed against those who fought for the preservation of the Church under a godless government. This was painful for us, we saw that we were misunderstood by those who did not live under such difficult circumstances and that they did not wish to understand us.
