Ooh, private suite, eh?
Wave at us peons in the 300 section behind third base. I'll be the short one wearing jeans and a white Angels hat.
Go Mariners!
Howya Sandy!!
I'm sorry, Sandy. By the time you posted this we were already at the stadium. Having no idea what to expect, we went early -- as it turned out, really really early.
But that's okay. We got to explore the place (as much as the goodwife was able to walk; we pushed the limits a bit). The suite (located right on the right-field foul line) was very nice and they took good care of us; for approx $100/head I guess they should!)
But far more than that the goodwife saw her first major league game live, and I got to erase the horrible memory of the (home) Detroit Tigers game of... 1963? (3 boring hours on the road to get to Tiger Stadium, X hours of boring no-hitter? game, 3 more boring hours drive home.)
This was MUCH more fun -- and my little point-n-shoot camera worked far better once they decided, pre-game, they could remove the retractable roof.
And for me... this game was a lot of fun to watch, even if it seemed to slide by rather quickly after the early Mariner wins. Ichiro seemed a bit off his game (by reputation), but the Mariners had some really great pitching with a dramatic ending by J.J. Putz -- I think we'll be taking in more games in the future.
But I'm still a Scot; look for me in the cheap seats when somebody else isn't buying.
