The gospel of Father Mac By Bella English, Globe Columnist | September 3, 2006 For nearly half a century, the Rev. Bernard McLaughlin has been a priest in the Archdiocese of Boston. Airport passengers knew him as the rapid-tongued priest at Our Lady of the Airways at Logan Airport. Hispanic, Italian, and Asian immigrants knew him from Holy Redeemer in East Boston. The homeless and hungry knew him from Crossroads Shelter, which he founded. Politicians knew him from the state Ethics Commission, for which he was vice chairman. Radio listeners knew him from the talk show he hosted with a rabbi and a black minister. Suburbanites knew him from St. Gerard Majella parish in Canton, where he has presided the past 11 years. State senators have come to know him as their chaplain on Beacon Hill. (continue by way of link )

Bernie is one of those Happy clappy folks that we'll be better off without.
I also found him to be personally a "pain in the ass" when dealing with him.
Sounds like Nancy Pelosi, also a "conservative Catholic."
He's right... it is a choice. Sin is a choice. We must as Christians make the right choice. He as a priest should not condone sin.
Did you read the article? This guy is a leftist, another Father Drinan. He is exactly the sort of priest responsible for the loss of Catholic faith in so much of Blue America.
I read the entire article. Did you read my comment? Sin is a choice, the wrong one or it wouldn't be sin. It's Boston so are you surprised?
The "gospel" of Father Mac is another gospel. What I wonder, why don't Bishops get priests like this under control?
This is the Archdiocese of Boston. They are more likely to make him a Bishop than "get him under control"
Just look at Cuenin's 80k a year job as Chaplain at Brandeis as a way of getting him "under control" for his similar behavior at Our Lady Help of Christians in Newton.
Sad, but true. Looks like Boston would have learned its lesson on what being liberal gets you, but some never learn.
