I thought that was one of the infallible pronouncements by a Pope?
That she was assumed, yes. That she died first, no. We are free to believe either, that she was spared death because of her sinless state. Or that she submitted to death in imitation of her Savior.

If she SUBMITTED to death like Jeasus?

You place her on a par with Christ. That is what happens with false teachings and doctrine, they grow and grow until Mary is a goddess.

The question is of course why there is not one word in scripture to imply she was sinless or assumed into heaven.

That is doctrine made up out of whole cloth with no biblical substantiation .

Actually, there are, but if we tell you about them, you will tell us that they don't mean what we think they mean, which simply demonstrates that Scripture alone is not a sufficient guide to right doctrine, because as Scripture itself notes, the "ignorant and unstable" can twist it.

Yeah, that's what I said. When it is your time will you fight death tooth and nail, or will you submit to it? Are you afraid of dying? Do you think if you accept death as the inevitable end of earthly life and the beginning of eternal life that that makes you some type of "god" or "goddess."
