The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The Crucifixion of Our Lord
Reflections for each Hail, Mary:
- The hands and feet of Jesus are nailed to the cross in the presence of His afflicted Mother.
- "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
- "This day you will be with Me in paradise."
- "Woman, behold your Son. Son, behold your Mother."
- "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
- "I thirst."
- "It is finished."
- "Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit."
- The side of Jesus is pierced with a lance. His body is taken down and placed in the arms of His Mother.
- Father, by the merits of the crucifixion and death of Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

O, my Jesus...
At the end of the decades:Hail, Holy Queen: HAIL holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
Closing: O God whose only begotten Son has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, Grant that we beseech Thee while meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
