And he is not just a "Holy Spirit," understood generically according to the manner of expression of the Old Testament (cf. Isaiah 63:10,11; Psalm 51:13), and of Judaism itself in its writings (Qumran, rabbinism).

I've got to say, I really like Benedict XVI. Witness his Many Religions-One Covenant: Israel, the Church and the World (written when he was Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger).

Though I wouldn't have understood it so well without first reading Hyam Maccoby, Revolution In Judaea: Jesus and the Jewish Resistance.
