My point is simply that the Supreme Court itself testified to the link between abortion and contraception. Their rationale for permitting abortion ends up being precisely the same as their rationale for permitting contraception, and indeed their rationale for preserving abortion in Casey was precisely that it was needed as a backstop when contraception failed!
I'm a pro-life Catholic, and have zero sympathy for Roe or Casey. I'm pointing out that the link between contraception and abortion is not a figment of the bishops' imagination, but very real.
