Haggard seems in better straits than Warren on that regard (I can hardly believe I'm saying that!). Warren insulated himself against criticism from the start because he did not want 'churched' people to lead. He wanted to make a church of the unchurched (e.g. mostly unbeleivers, naive and malleable and without previous doctrinal biases). His entire structure is set up to insulate leadership against all but the most obvious heresy or blatant sin.
