But the standard is still is still that the marriage is not officially "valid" until consummation. It's "valid" but not "indissoluble", unless it's known beforehand that consummation is impossible.

Is that the Catholic Canon view? Interesting, in that I have heard it differently. But it wasn't something we honestly spent much time on in the pre Cana classes.
