It's a shame that this isn't better known, and better taught. I went through CCD without having heard of any Eucharistic miracles.

The most amazing to me is the Eucharistic miracle of Lanciano.

Old [and not so old, like Ambrose Bierce] sources have very interesting accounts of miracles. When St. Dennis was beheaded, he picked up his severed head and walked with it several miles on the road, striking the fear of God into all passersby he chanced to meet. On another occasion, the feather from the wing of Annunciation angel once escaped from its reliquary and tickled the noses of the congregation so that they woke up and sneezed as a chorus with great vehemence three times each.

"Pore," not "pour."

No, you're homophones!

(Ahem)

That aside, I wonder what makes Our Lady of Guadalupe a Eucharistic Miracle.

"Interested individuals pour over the miracles associated with the Eucharist Jan. 13 at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Naperville."

I certainly hope not--it'll spoil the paper. Now if they PORE over them, it'll be OK.

This is the parish at which I attended the Catholics Returning Home program. The pastor heard my first confession in the last 25 or so years.
