Anything to poke sticks at Catholicism eh? Let's nevermind that there are many countries - primarily those in Europe and non-Hispanic North America where Catholics are either a majority or a major bloc that are or have been successful for a long time.

But what do the countries that aren't have in common? They're all third world (African or Latin American).

Ya think maybe something else is at work? Just maybe?
