Prayer Request
me | 14 May 2007 | unionblue83

I am asking for prayers for a good friend of mine. His name is Chad Wright and we grew up together. He is in the hospital in Oklahoma after crashing his crop-dusting plane. He has a severe back injury and is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday on his vertebrae and ribs. His folks have seen the wreckage and are amazed that he survived. All he ever wanted to do was fly and it seems that he was not flying alone -- he must have had a guardian angel. I will update as soon as I get more. Thanks much.

UPDATE: Although not much in the way of news since I haven’t been able to get through to his folks, but they nursing station on his floor said that they are moving him back up from surgery shortly and he was transferred out of the ICU to a regular floor. Thank you all so much for all of the prayers for my friend. It is truly God’s Will at work that so many have responded. I will update tomorrow once I can actually get through to someone in the family.

UPDATE: Finally got some information on my friend and it appears that he is amazingly well. The surgery was to fuse three vertebrae (1, 2, & 3 but I couldn’t get location - thoracic, lumnbar, etc.). His ribs are heavily bruised but no breaks and there is no damage to any internal organs. The plane apparently lost all power and Chad managed to get it down but rolled it three times upon impact. He will be returning to Ohio to convalesce and is already talking of getting another plane. Definitely had a guardian angel on that flight. Thanks again to all of those who sent prayers.
