I waited for some time to see if the Vatican would do anything about it. They didn't.

That's it? Some parish in Germany collects money for Muslim neighbors to build their mosque and this is your reason for leaving the Catholic Church? And the Vatican didn't 'do anything about it'. Did you send this story to the Vatican and ask them for a response?

God gave us the gift of 'free will'. While I disagree with the German parish asking their parishioners to help fund the construction of a mosque, they have the free will to decide. Is this your parish?

That's it? Yes, "that's it." And "that", by the way, is a huge deal. An enormous deal. A bigger deal than the gay priest molestation scandal ever was. I fully understand that no human institution is perfect, and am willing to roll with the vagaries of what individuals do. That's why, though others would disagree, I never held Catholicism on the whole at fault for the molestations. However, when an institution begins to act, then that's another story altogether. Fundraising to build mosques spits in the face of God and the sacrifices Jesus made. The Vatican's lack of action on this matter then serves as a tacit endorsement.

God's gift of "free will" does not extend to building pagan temples to false gods and made up prophets. If this parish wanted to help Muslim immigrants, they should help them become Germans Catholics. Instead, they are playing an actiive role in damning their souls.
