But first you must show me where your principle of "anything not found in Scripture is invalid" is found in Scripture.
But be careful, this principle of yours invalidates Luther's non-Scriptural principle of "the Bible alone."
interesting ping
Please show us scripture to confirm this. Otherwise it remains the words of men
Yeah, and I've got a bridge to sell you.
You and a few of the others would be the first to take off running in a real encounter with Satan, not some hyperemotional feel good "deliverance" get together.
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
So you think man can argue with the devil and win?
If you use Jesus to defeat him, which you must, using His name one time is all you need.
Canticle,
I know this person, my sibling in Christ and consider it an honor and a gift from God that they are in my life. Their strength, resolve, and wisdom are above any person I have ever known and they would not run..
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
AMEN
I respect your opinion but I have found that person to be extremely prideful, arrogant and disrespectful. In addition, that person knows next to nothing about his or her former religion.
I can’t speak for NYer, but I’m laughing at the assertion that the Devil gives a flying damn about a language that hasn’t been considered “living” for several hundred years.
Oh please. Keep your judgmental, self inflated attitude to yourself. It will be a cold day in hell when I regard you as an authority on anything. I've seen your true colors.
mah-LEE-nyaws
mah-leeg-nos
I’m sure there are variations and I agree with virtually all you’ve done, but there is this more recent “thing” about pronouncing all “g’s” as softened dipthongs.
How about “ignes”. IGG-NAYS is a perfectly good pronunciation. I would say Mah-lig’-nos, personally, but some old priest will tell me that that is not proper Church Latin.
Go figure!
Thank goodness it’s almost five o’ the clock.
Prideful is believing your churches human tongue gives some extra boost when performing an exorcism..
Prideful is being certain of things of which you have no knowledge or experience.
It seems reasonable that one language can have a greater effect than another, namely Latin over English. I would think that American English being more effective that Eubonics English even if both use the name of Jesus.
Perhaps I’m wrong and Latin, Pig Latin or Eubonics are all on the same level.
Eubonics Exorcism: Yo Devil. Hey man. Mo fo you leave da bitch now. You hear me homey. In Jesus name, yo!
I am certain that Buddhism is a path to hell is that pride? Are you not certain of the same thing? yet I and, presumably, you have never been a Buddhist..
Well, seriously, the language itself is irrelevant, seeing as how the HS is the agent. Whether an Inuit, an Italian or a bushman prays in the name of Jesus, it does not matter. That’s why this thread is so silly, it’s superstition
