Since Mary is credited with 'giving' Christ for the sacrifice, doesn't this make her equal to the Father (Jn.3:16)? My thoughts exactly. Not only is she the mother of God, she is God. They should just admit it

If "doctrine" and "dogma" can mean different things in the RCC, then so can the words, "Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God" (Deut. 5:9).
It's just a matter of time and semantics.
