What do you think would happen if a Protestant Bishop declared their people to be God’s chosen people and that others who were not Protestant were “defective”?

I hear similar statements all of the time including here on FR on some of the religion threads (but of course in many denominations the term "bishop" is not generally used.) The position among some protestants that Catholics are superstitious and not even Christian is all too common.

People are truly strange. You can simply draw a line with a crayon between two people and they will begin to hate each other because each will think their side is better.
