We ask the Blessed Mother and those who have died, such as a mother or father to pray FOR us. (Bet you asked your mother or father to pray for you while they were on earth, correct?) LOL!

God is the most important person/deity in the Catholic religion.

BTW, hopefully you do realize that the CNN rant is only the biased media coming out against the Catholic Church — the one church the media hates, because it has continued to stand for truth, despite the failing of some individuals.

Notice how the "former Catholic" Catholic hater on CNN skipped the earlier parts of Matthew, namely Chapter 16 verse 18 “And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
Funny how the Catholic bashers tend to pick and choose scripture and ignore the wealth of scripture that supports the Catholic Church as Christ's one true church.
As for the Catholic haters here on FR that constantly misrepresent Catholic teachings, you show great restraint in dealing with them. After correcting them once, when they continue to misrepresent Catholic teachings they can only be called liars.
It is why the caucus threads are so great and so needed. You can finally get Catholic news without the attacks from Satan's worshipers. You know, those that attack his Church, attack Him.

When you reverently bow your head or kneel and ask someone or something to do something for you, you are PRAYING to that someone or something.

Do you bow your head and kneel before your friends when you ask them to pray for you?
