As a little boy, I wanted to become a monk after reading a book in the library of my Catholic grade school called “Men in Sandals”. The author described the great “sacrifice” they had to make, eating fish every day. There was even an illustration of the fish truck pulling up to the monastery. Since I loved fish, I thought, “Hey, this is the life for me! What can possibly be better than fish every day!”
