Argh! Here in CT, EWTN splits time (we never get the prime-time hours) with local programming and other useless junk! Our bishop has pleaded with Cablevision to extend the broadcast hours it gives EWTN to no avail.
At least I’m not alone! Yes, Comcast apparently counts EWTN as “local access programming” for reasons best known to itself. OTOH, Boston Catholic TV — sounds “local” to me, right? — (under the iron fist of Cdl. O’ Malley no doubt) gets its own channel. Go figure!
