Thoughts and prayers sent.
I will pray for Peter’s eys, and will make a 3-day novena to St. Lucy for him.
I’m sorry to hear Pete has to go through this. I’ll pray for him. Hopefully they can find what is causing his vision problems, and hopefully it is nothing serious.

you have my most fervent prayers for your son. God bless and keep him, and may He guide the physicians hands who will diagnose and treat him.
Prayers lifted for Peter.
Prayers for Peter
Thanks for the prayers, everyone. It’s about 9 pm here, and we’re all back home.
We went to Johns Hopkins. Veni, vidi, vici. Or something like that.
Anyway. The pediatric neurologists came down and did assessments. They kind of travel in a pack. There were about four actual pediatric neurologists, then some other doctors, some medical students, some nurses, and one or two other miscellaneous bureaucrats and hangers-on.
Conclusions so far are that the condition isn’t life-threatening, nor really worsening. In fact, by late morning, Peter’s vision had returned to almost normal. Having ruled out a more general neurological deterioration, the doctors explained that once someone loses their “fusion” of the images of each of the two eyes, variations in the degree of the double vision can range widely with no underlying worsening of the condition.
More tests next week.
Prayers lifted.
Prayers continue..
Thanks for the update...
Are they getting a CT of his head?
Prayers for recovery.
Prayers, certainly.
The plan is to do an MRI early next week. My understanding at this point goes like this. They’re pretty sure they know what it’s not. The purpose of the MRI is mainly to confirm what they’re pretty sure what it’s not.
What’s heartening is that what they’re pretty sure what it’s not is all the really ugly stuff.
Once they complete ruling that stuff out, then they begin the apparently arduous task of figuring what to rule in. Apparently, there are myriad possible causes, and it’s likely that it will take a good bit of testing and diagnostics to ultimately come to the answer.
Thanks again,
