You, guys can pray for him, but, no offense, I'm not. I see him as a very smart, but deep-down, a self-loathing individual who, barring a visit from Jesus Himself, will never change at this point.

That doesn't mean I don't like him or respect him, but there some people beyond our 'help'.

I believe God has written the outline for our life's script. We fill in the dialogue, we get to pick the scenes and wardrobe, and can even make changes to the action, but the plan is pretty much set. Hitchens is, unfortunately, likely doomed to serve as a foil and adversary to the Judeo/Christian community.

With prayer, that can be arranged!

IF he would do what other atheist have done...gone through The Word of God to disprove it, he'd end up just like those atheist. By studying The Word of God...they became strong Christian Believers. Since, Jesus is The Word of God, that's a visit from Him.

Until, Our Lord leads me to pray for this man, I'll not pray for him. He has led me to pray for folks, I in NO way wanted to. However, I did and continued until I was released by Our Lord.

I'll give it a try tonight, but only once on my knees in the solitude of my home. I'll pray for him ... which is not to say in the same fashion as the two little brothers:

Two little brothers fought and bickered all day long. Everytime their mother turned around, these boys were at each other, bickering. Came bedtime and the youngest was bathed and put to bed. As the older brother was getting his bath, his mother worked on his conscience, asking how he would feel if he went to bed without making up and forgiving his brother and in the mnight his brother died? The oldest boy thought about it while the bath continued, then when mother was toweling him off he repsonded, "Okay. All right, I'll forgive him ... But if he's alive in the morning ..."

Well, Christopher, I'll pray for you tonight, really. But if you're alive in the morning, you're on your own fella.
