That’s pretty awesome. I’ve never played Halo, but I’ve very appreciative that the composer for the game did that.

The head honcho for the Halo series soundtrack is
Martin O'Donnell.
The rest of the soundtrack is pretty good as well. In terms of Gregorian Chants, one of my favorite Halo tracks is The Maw.

The funny thing (to some, I suppose) is that Halo is a First-person-shooter.
NY Times ran a pretty good article on video games and their growing influence on composers/musical genres last year.
