Jesus Christ appearing in the New World after his resurrection.
Just to pick out an obvious error in his thinking;

Jesus was a Hebrew of direct linage to King David. He may have been of slightly paler complexion than the Maya but in no way could they have considered him white.

Jesus was not a Caucasian.

From your experience, what is the compexion of a resurrected being. Just asking, because I don’t know.

I guess we should ask Joseph Smith. But, then again, Joseph seemed to be a little snooty with regard to Jesus Christ. As I recall, he boasted that he had done more than JC ever did.

Well from scripture I guess it is hard to tell. After his resurrection sometimes Jesus was recognized other times he was not.

But from my reading of the Bible I never noted where he was mistaken for a European or that it was commented that he was pale.

You're certain of that, are you?

Just on surface instinct, if He did appear, I would think the timelines of His Incarnation, resurrection, Ascension, and Glorification and no second coming yet, would imply His appearance would be limited between the first 40 days after the Resurrection. This would also have to exclude the three days in the grave, and multiple appearances to those in the mideast whom reported His appearance.

The resurrected body apparantly has the ability to walk through walls and not bound by time or locale, so perhaps there is some substance behind it.

I suspect there may be a considerable amount of research already performed by others more fully scrutinizing the issues.
