Pay a little more attention to preaching the word of God and saving souls and a little less to fortune-telling, Pat. You’re making yourself look silly.

Only those that think Robertson is relevant.
He’s not.

Last year, Robertson predicted that a terrorist act, possibly involving a nuclear weapon, would result in mass killing in the United States. Noting that it hadn't come to pass, Robertson said, "All I can think is that somehow the people of God prayed and God in his mercy spared us." Oh I can think of another reason. Robertson's an idiot. I can imagine God in Heaven, shaking His head and muttering, "Made in my image? Please!"

If the voice spoke from the sky, I certainly didn’t hear it. But what he says is certainly possible.

I saw God yesterday at the hardware store and he didn’t mention any of this to me.

major stock-market crash by 2010. Sharing what he believes God has told him about the year ahead God must be one hell of a technical analyst.
To: Obadiah
I think Robertson and others sidestep the issue by calling their predictions “words of knowledge”.

Did Robertson ever make any predictions that came to pass? If so, I think they should be noted, as well.

Interesting - check this out:
Deut. 18:20,22 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
I guess it just goes to show that there are many different views in the Bible.

Did he mention any specific stock tips, or just when the crash will occur so we can “buy the dips”?

Well, maybe, but predicting worldwide violence isn’t really taking a chance—that’s every year. Now, predicting worldwide peace (real peace, not just meaningless “treaties” that are ignore)—that would be a bold prediction.
