Deuteronomy is obviously referring the the Ten Commandments, and the prohibition about WORSHIP of images. It is the WORSHIP aspect that is "acting corruptly", not the making of an image, per se.

Why do you derogate the plain text of the Word of Elohim

And this statement is why. Last I heard, there were no COMMANDMENTS in Deuteronomy. The COMMANDMENT involved is about WORSHIPPING images, not painting pictures.
