I am glad you are ready. I am forever worried that I am not ready and acceptable for the coming. Its one test I don’t think I will ever have studied and acted enough for.
I think everyone has doubts and fears and the ones who are the most confident that they've "made it" probably haven't yet.
Mat 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Mat 7:22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
Mat 7:23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'
I don't think worry is the attitude Christians should have, but assurance tempered with humility and obedience should be the proper attitude.
None of us are ever really ready, however, with a simple prayer asking Jesus into our hearts and asking Him for His eternal forgiveness we will be more than acceptable in Gods eyes. From that point we are forever washed in the Glorified Blood of Jesus and crucified with Him on the Cross. The crucified blood of Jesus will cover all sins, if only we ask.
That is the promise of the Gospels.
Don’t give up.
The wonderful thing about salvation is that it doesn’t depend on us, Jesus did it all. We simply accept the free gift He has given us. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.
We need to repent and ask for forgiveness. Because of what He has done on our behalf, we will do things for others but it is not a condition of salvation.
I am amazed that when God looks at sinful me, He sees Christ’s righteousness. Wow how incredible.
None of us will be acceptable if we look at ourselves. Some strong evidence that you are acceptable, (have been made acceptable by Christ) is that you KNOW you don’t measure up. Remember that the only reason you hunger for his word at all is because he has made you able and willing... and that his finished work is what saves us, not our own attempts at ‘perfection’ or sanctification.

Through Jesus Christ the crucified and the Messiah, you are acceptable already, if you have Him as Lord and Saviour of your life. Just put your faith and trust in Him and HE will make you ready. Don’t agonize over it, vetvet.
What a blessing to read the seven wonderful replies to you. His will be done.
