I’m in shock after reading the grandfather’s comments.
The doctors and mother seem to have decided to murder the boy. Perhaps his injuries could have been cured by a miracle, as so many have, but systematic starvation and dehydration are not going to be overcome by prayers.

Prayers Up, but I’m going off on my usual tangent...
Mothers? If you have children to raise as a Single Mom, put your own selfish needs aside and take the time to raise your own d@mn kids!
You can “date” again when they’re 18 or older. That’s the price you pay for making a child in the first place with a man that either won’t stick by you, or has left you for another or for drugs and rock-n-roll.
Widows? That’s a whole ‘nother situation, but d@mmit! Put your kids FIRST. At least SCREEN potential suitors! My husband dated me for 6 months before he even let me meet his son, who I would be raising. (And I have an impressive resume, LOL!) It solidified the respect I already felt for my future husband and to love them both, all the more.
Could you at LEAST do that much? Yeesh!

How or why in the world does anyone hurt a little child? Until the day I leave this earth, I will never understand this unthinkable crime.

Lord God, we believe in You. We believe You are superior to all our ways, all our wisdom. If You were not superior to our understanding then we would be God and not YOU! But indeed You are the one true God and we bow to You and Your superior Wisdom and Ways.
Lord God, there is no way for us to humanly comprehend why You would allow the suffering this child is enduring. But we are a people who have sought to know You and one thing we have learned is that You are a God who is LOVE and who fulfills all Your promises. You promise to use ALL things in this world for good in light of ETERNITY. You tell us in Your Word that this world is ruled by the prince of the air, the adversary. But what he intends for evil You will use for eternal life. How we count on You to do this dear Lord! And Lord we also know You have ALL POWER. If it is not YOUR timing to call this little one home to You, then make the death watch for this child stop and wake him up! Defy all human wisdom and bring this child back to us! We know this is in Your power, but we do not know Your plan and so we wait in joyful expectation for Your perfect way. Lord God, comfort and restore this family as only You can. How much pain and hurt is here. Lord God, You can do this and so we worship; we pray; we wait for word and all the while we place our trust in You - especially when it does not make sense. We bow to You alone, O Lord. You, O God, will not fail us. In Jesus’ name, Amen

There is a Judgment Day for people like this. You can count on that.
