All this isn't entirely great news for Bittinger, who calls music -- mostly extreme metal -- "my life." He listens to dark, ambient music during his entire two-hour commute to and from Alexandria, all through the workday and on weekends at the home he shares with his girlfriend and two cats.

Black metal was meant to be private, he says, for people who get it. Who understand the imagery of knights on the mount, who want to lose themselves in blasting melodies that are the musical equivalent of a scary, gray winter sky. Who know the difference between fantasy and irony.

In other words, the latest loser fad is no longer the latest. Time to move on, fella. Have you heard Vampire Goth Bluegrass?

"The more intelligent you are, the more unlikely you are to believe in God; it's a fact," says Bittinger

I guess he's the exception to the rule.

I saw a clip of Alice Cooper mocking these serious scandinavian black metal satanic gorks. It was hilarious. It was something along the lines of each band wanting to look more evil than the last, and ol’ Alice simulating the facial expressions these dweebs would make in their press photos.

Self-described Satanist Lord Ahriman, lead singer for the Swedish black-metal band Dark Funeral

I know I should probably take this seriously, but this stuff makes me laugh.

“Black metal is an outlet for darker things,” he says. “It’s mostly driven by anger, frustration, dark thoughts.”

Sounds like liberalism.

Honestly, I bet this guy is a Big Hairy Pu$$y (BHP), as well as a dullard.

Least I’ve lived long enough to see things come full circle: I remember winning “Bible Bingo” dressed in my Black Sabbath t-shirt, when I was twelve, much to my aunt’s horror.

Someone should tell BHP, “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Mat 7:14)” There is nothing easier than destroying, and trending to the base of man’s nature. A real man transcends, and builds.

The most evil musician I’ve ever heard of is GG Allin, a punk singer. He’s dead now.

So . . . sexual sin is “cool,” but “social injustice” has to be wiped out?

Umm since when is this unknown? An excellent book about Norway’s death metal culture is “Lords of Chaos”

Tampa, Florida is also a popular in the Death Metal circuit.

"The more intelligent you are, the more unlikely you are to believe in God; it's a fact,"

Yet these schmucks have no problem believing in satan and the powers of darkness.

I think this dweeb's IQ should have had a minus sign before it.
