"He knew and often said that the Church's pro-life stance was not just a teaching, but a battle, and he willingly undertook the sacrifices of that battle in his own life," Fr. Pavone said. The Cardinal's passing is truly a great loss, he knew that this was an epic battle with the forces of evil and he was not afraid to stand on the front line.
