There is NOTHING wrong about not voting for someone based solely on the candidates choice of religion. That’s exactly what Utah did WRT Mike Huckabee and John McCain.
Too many Mormons here who were offended that some FReepers wouldn’t vote for Mitt because he IS NOT CONSERVATIVE, repeatedly drug out the anti-mormon card in their arguments.
Keep posting, the more informed the masses are of LDS beliefs and doctrines, the better off we’ll all be. I for one don’t think you will be helping your own cause at all. We’ll see.
I do have one itching question though, why aren’t the initials COJCOLDS or CJCLDS, seems to me either one would be more accurate.
Lets just say he is no longer a Mormon.
He has received hateful freepmail from his former fellow believers. They don't like when someone leaves.
If that (not conservative) was the only reason given, fine.
But go back and read all the vile postings which brought up things that some Mormon member did 150 years ago.
Or how bout all the accusatory postings about Mormon underwear, or Mormon doctrine, or Mormon communion, or the rituals inside a Mormon tabernacle church. (which I really know nothing about)
I saw hundreds of postings which in essence accused Mitt Romney of being not qualified because of these doctrinal differences.
I found it truly disgusting, and remain astonished to this day that it was allowed to continue for so long on FR.
