As far back as 1837, I know that he said the moon was inhabited by men and women the same as this earth, and that they lived to a greater age than we do — that they live generally to near the age of a 1000 years.

Paging Art Bell.

My half-brother believes that reptilian shape-shifters rule the world and that they're poisoning us with “chem-trails” and fluoride in the water. Paging David Icke!

Paging Art Bell.

That "live to near the age of a 1000 years" is kinda hard to believe, isn't it.

With "Lunar Warming" and all that, I doubt if they live to more than a couple of hundred years.

Has he started his own religion?

They are not extraterrestrial.

They come from the innards of the Earth.

I never said they were from outer space, did I? Everyone knows that Admiral Perry flew into Inner Earth during his expeditions. Shheeesh!

Makes sense. No oxygen = no oxidation.

Cars probably last longer, too.

How can rational people follow a moon-bat cultist like Joe Smith. He just keeps getting funnier and funnier, it would be hilarious if it weren't so tragic for his blind, deaf and dumb followers.

If there were no inhabitants on the moon, then how did the following happen?

Ignignot: “Hello, Carl, I am Ignignot, and this is Ur.”

Ur: “I am Ur!”

Ignignot: “We are Mooninites from the inner core of the Moon.”

Ur: “You said it right!”

Ignignot: “Our race is hundreds of years beyond yours.”

Ur: “Man, you hear what he's sayin’?”

Ignignot: “Some would say that the Earth is *our* moon.”

Ur: *We're* the Moon!”

Ignignot: “But that would belittle the name of our Moon, which is the Moon.”

Ur: “Point is, we're at the center, not you!”

Carl: “No, the real point is I don't give a damn.” (slams door)
Ignignot: “Is your ego satisfied?”

Ur: “Damn no!”

Be nice.

BTW, in light of this lesson, I do find the "moon-bat" comment somewhat apropos.

I suspect that if they have Moon men, then they probably have Moon-bats as well. And Moon horses and Moon dogs and, it wouldn't be a paradise without... Moon Pies.

Did he find the Lost Tribes of Israel?

Could you ping the FIPs?

The Moon is in the Ilky Way, and I don't have the updated list yet.

I think we need some Mormons to come on here and defend their founder’s comments.

After all, he was inspired and spoke “truth.”

I don't know about that, but I think it is safe to say that he was a Prophet.
