"I would like to use this caucus to begin accumulating names for a religion forum ping list"

I think you used a potty word. I'll check with the LPFOKETT GAHCOEEP-w/o* and get back to you.

“its not a gang - its a club”

Oh sure! First it starts out as an innocent caucus, then a focused society, then a serious club and one day you wake up and you have a..........LIST. Repent, repent before it's too late.

Somebody wake up the LPFOKETT GAHCOEEP-w/o*. A brother is in danger of backsliding. Probably the success of the barbecue sauce has turned his head and he has become one of the great washed elite. (probably trying to erase the tattoos too)

**I welcome all nondenominational Christians **

I would love to be on your ping list.

BUT FIRST, send me a Doctrinal statement of the beliefs!

I was raised in a “non-denominational” or more accuratly, a non-Doctrinal, highly legalistic home church so I am leary of non-denom’s till I see their beliefs. A Christian friend in New Mexico managed to help me break those legalistic chains in 1973.
I have been “FREE” from Legalism ever since!

Dave’s Insanity Sauce works better. It also removes grease stains from garage floors. Just smear it on the tatoos and it will turn them to “Chicarones”;-)

well, dont worry about legalism here - were just gathering names for a non denom ping list - I cant imagine we’ll post much - but we at least have a presence here in the relig forum - particularly in the spirit of the new rules, which are vexing for us in betweeners, and Calvary Chapel types

A show of hands could be a nifty exercise. For instance, Rev is former FMC and I’m Baptist leaning Catholic. (Or is that backwards?)

Anyone else? I’ll bet we have an interesting mix!

I was raised Catholic.

I tried very hard to to be a good enough person. I always fell short and the guilt was killing me.

I could not overcome the obsessions in my life.

I asked a Priest who would go to heaven. He told me:

"That is a Great Mystery."

I spent time with Christians at work. They seemed happy, despite terrible difficulties in their lives. One man had two children born with deformities. He always smiled and told me it was a "blessing."

Another woman had cancer, and she hugged everyone and told them she was "just fine" in between her throwing up and her wig falling off. Then, she would smile again.

I wondered "What do THESE people have?"

Dave’s Insanity Sauce

**utter pain***

It keeps the deadbeats at work, who won’t buy their own hot sauce, away from it.;-D

Someday I’ll tell you about one of them who got into it!-—Once.

I was raised in a “Conneyite” church. Google it. Legalism was broken in 1973 and I have been free GRACE ever since although I go to a Baptist church. I lean away from Schofield’s dispensationalism.

I am not ANTI anything but am very PRO BIBLE and am willing to listen to HONEST differences in doctrines.

I have never been a member of any church but became a member of His church when I accepted Him as my Savior when I was 6. I love theology, can I join?
