At the Institution, Jesus took bread and said “this is my body”. He then told the Apostles, “you do it”. Likewise with wine. That’s the authority and ability.

Through the first laying on of hands by Peter through Pope Benedict.

Ha! Who you trying to kid...You can't trace a line of popes back to Peter...

Sometimes there were two and three popes at one time fighting over authority...If they'd have lain hands on each other, they'd have fought to the death...

There were periods of time when there were no popes...

But yet this is the trash you guys tell new converts to fool them into thinking your church is 'godly'...

There was at those times only one pope, with others--imposters--claiming authority. The list is here..

There were periods of time when there were no popes...

There is a period of sede vacante between the death of the previous pope and the selection of the new pope. This happens every time a pope dies.

Now you're resorting to making stuff up...Jesus NEVER said, this is my body, you do it...

Jesus told them to pass the loaf of bread around a BREAK off a piece...And then to 'do this in remembrance of me' whenever you BREAK off a piece of bread from a loaf...

And when you drink from the cup, remember the blood that I shed for YOU...

From what I read, your actual number of faithfuls is about 10 percent of what you posted...

But anyway, you are told what to believe...You're instructed not to believe what you see with your own eyes...

Jesus NEVER said, this is my body, you do it...

Yeah, right. You should read the Bible every once in a while.

This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me. (Luke 22:19)

It was pointed to you about three times already, on this thread alone.

You're instructed not to believe what you see with your own eyes...

If I recall correctly, you eschew logic and common sense.

At least you don't brag of knowing nothing.

Here's a few extra question marks for next time. There seems to be a great need for them.

That really bugs you, doesn't it????? I do that because some of you guys apear to have trouble seeing only one ?... You hardly ever answer questions that are put to you...

And oh yeah, Do this in remembrance of me is NOT an instruction to turn a wafer into Jesus flesh...

That's what logic and common sense is for...People that know nothing...When you know something, you don't have to rely on trying to use common sense to figure it out...

Let me ask you a question that is related, but on a different tract - why do YOU think Paul required the laying on of hands before beginning his ministry, especially since he was chosen directly by Christ?
