What percentage of Presbyterians are PCUSA?
Do you think there will be a split over this?
Splitting is what we Presbyterians do best. :)
I don’t know about a full split, but I could see more conservative Presbyterian denominations like the OPC and PCA picking up more churches now. If somehow the rank and file of PCUSA can’t crack the hold this liberal Mafia has on their ranks, then leaving, or even crumbling apart like the ECUSA is doing, is their only option.

I don’t know that much about the PCUSA. Christians within it ought to force a split, as light has no fellowship with darkness.
Ooops - broke my own rule about ignoring your posts. Sorry about that :-)
We visited a PCA church in PA, and they were good people in a good conservative denomination, but it was just different than what we were familiar with. So, I would really be thankful for a split so we could get some conservatism back into the PCUSA church.

A whoppingly large portion, well over three quarters. They’ve got 2 million members, down from 4 million. PCA, which is a conservative offshoot has 350,000. Orthodox Presbyterian has about 30,000. The Evangelical Presbyterian Church is fairly liberal, but I believe more conservative than PCUSA, has about 80,000 members. Cumberland Presbyterian Church has 50,000.

Several PCUSA churches have left for the EPC. This may well trigger more defections.
The key is that individual members are the ones leaving.
