The pay is in the satisfaction I get thinking that sometimes I make people think...mostly though, it’s in the deep friendships and respect that I’ve formed with other freepers over the years.

Well I doubt that anyone could find fault with that, I certainly can't.

Although you reminded me of an old saying,

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink...
... And you can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think."
