Daily "Pray for America" Thread (7-24-08)

America has been greatly blessed by God and has stood as the greatest country in the history of the world for over 200 years. America has many foreign and domestic enemies that are seeking her destruction.

This thread is a daily call and reminder for people of faith who believe in God and in the power of prayer to make a commitment to intercede for America at this critical time in her history

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

if we stay faithful in prayer and intercede for america as king david interceded for israel, we will see God's answer.

Beloved and Most Holy God,

We thank You for allowing us to live in America. The most Blessed country on the face of the Earth. All that we have; all that we are, is because of Your love and mercy. You have Blessed us because of our forefather's obedience to You. Over time, things began to change and Americans quit serving You and now, we are paying for our sins. Too many children have grown up never knowing You and now that they are grown, they are taking government jobs. As a result, we have become a godless nation.

Sweet Jesus, we are now going through difficult times in America because evil, godless men and women have taken over our government and courts. Their wickedness has caused the deaths of millions of innocent babies, and countless other people. Only You know how many people have died because they have looked the other way. Thousands of Americans have been kidnapped, raped and murdered, or murdered in a burglary, or killed in car wrecks by drunken illegals. Many have died from eating food imports that were tainted. Many people have become ill with diseases that You had previously wiped out. Many have died because of the greed of these corrupt politicians. They have made fortunes off of the big businesses, and they did it with the blood of Americans being shed. We will never know the extent of their evil or how many died, but You know, and You are the Judge who they will stand before to give account of their lives. The blood of the innocents will cry out for justice. Thank You Father, that You are a fair and just God. You will repay!

Father, please change the hearts and minds of those who are in the process of destroying America. Convict them of their sins, and forgive them of the evil that they have done. We don't want them to perish in their sins so we ask You to bring workers into their lives who can lead them to Jesus, if that is in Your Will. Until then, we ask You to remove all of the wicked people from our government and from the judicial system, and replace them with people who will follow Your Commandments.

Abba, we dropped the ball and allowed much of what has happened because we were living well and we were looking the other way too. We are guilty. We ask You to forgive us of all sins of commission and sins of omission, and help us to forsake all sin in our lives. Direct our steps so we can walk in Righteousness before You. We ask You to raise up an army of End Times warriors who will take the message of Salvation through the shed Blood of Jesus into the streets bringing those who You call into Salvation. To God be the Glory!

We ask You to protect the brave men and women who are fighting in the wars against our enemy, Islam. We ask You to reveal where the cowards are hiding in wait to kill our troops, and where they have hidden bombs to kill and main. Please go before them to clear the way. We pray for those who have been injured. We ask that You would heal them all, and to comfort those who have had life changing injuries. Heal their emotions to enable them to live with life changing injuries. We pray for those who have lost loved ones. Please comfort them while they grieve, and give them strength during this difficult time.

We also pray for our first responders in America. They too have warrior spirits and have increasingly been under attack from illegal gang members. Please protect them all. Father, you said to make our requests known unto You, so we ask that You would force our government to build a wall to keep illegals out of our country, and to force them to deport illegals. Lord, we ask You to wake Americans up so that they can see the truth about Barack Obama and the Democrat party. He says he "is the one we're been waiting for" and we reject that. We are waiting for the Messiah; the Lord Jesus Christ. Obama is a fraud and those power hungry, greedy politicians are evil to the core. Also, please change John McCain's heart and mind about granting amnesty to millions of illegals. It will destroy America. Open his eyes and show him that Mexicans don't care. They are supporting Obama because he has promised them amnesty.

Father, we all have loved ones who aren't Saved. They are still living in rebellion to You. They need Jesus to Save them, but that's only going to happen if You change their hearts and minds, and forgive their sins. We ask for mercy. We also ask You to heal any of our loved ones who are sick.

We love You Abba. Thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask in Jesus name that You would find favor with our requests. We ask Jehovah Rophe, our God who heals, to heal our brokenness, and to heal our land. Amen!
