I just got home from visiting with my friend, Darrell, and found out that his wife (Margaret Phillips) has become very ill.
About 2 weeks ago, she had immense pain in her shoulders & neck. The doctors initially diagnosed it as a muscle spasm without running any tests. As the pain increased in intensity over time, she started having trouble breathing, and was life flighted to another hospital where they ran a large series of tests on her.
What was causing it was an abscess on the stem of her brain...surgery was done, but she is now unable to move her arms or legs. She is also unable to speak, and is on a full time ventilator.
Margaret does still have feeling in her arms & legs, and initially had partial movement ability, but that has since diminished.
I truly ask for prayer for on behalf of Margaret, for her husband, Darrell, and their children (Aaron, Bradley, & Sarah).

Almighty Father, please grant this lady a complete recovery, and and tend to the needs of all involved, to Your greater Glory, I ask in Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.
We don't know why these things happen (sin cursed this world, and brings in its wake diseases, death, and tears) - but we do know that we have a God who loves us, and who said that I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. We pray that it is in HIS will to heal this woman.
Whatever the future holds we look to our Saviour and Lord, Jesus, knowing that in HIM is eternal Salvation, and the time will come when HE will wipe away all tears...

Jehovah Rophe, our God who heals, we ask You to send forth Your Word to completely heal Margaret Phillips, and we also ask You to comfort her family as they wait for her to be able to leave the hospital in good health. We ask this in the Name of Jesus, and we thank You for Your mercy in this matter. Amen!

O Lord our God, Who by word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every malady and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to this Your servant Margaret and cure her of every sickness of which she is grieved; lift her up from her bed of pain, and send down upon her Your great mercy, and if it be Your Will, give to her health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to Father, and to Son, and to Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

UPDATE
The ventilator is off!!! Margaret is able to talk to her family again, and is starting to get some more movement back.
She actually was able to sit up on her own for about an hour!
Margaret still has a ways to go, but she’s making awesome progress, thanks to our Lord!
